I enjoy the breadth of knowledge and the ability to care for patients across all stages of life while building meaningful, long-term relationships that Family Medicine offers. Supporting patients through both challenges and milestones, and walking alongside them throughout their healthcare journey from childhood through adulthood, is truly special to me.
I am especially drawn to the UNM Santa Fe program for its supportive, close-knit environment and strong sense of community. Having previously worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico feels like home to me, and the strong sense of community reminds me of my home country of Senegal. I’m excited to return to continue my training and care for patients while addressing the healthcare challenges faced by the communities here.
