I chose Family Medicine because it allows me to serve as the first point of contact for patients across their lifespan while also acting as an educator in many aspects of health and prevention. I value the variety and unpredictability of each day, the opportunity to perform hands-on procedures, and the flexibility to shape a practice that reflects both my skills and my passions. I am particularly interested in lifestyle medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics.
I chose to complete my training at UNM because of my deep family roots in the area, the rich cultural diversity, and the strength of its close-knit communities. I am motivated by a desire to contribute to improving the health of our state. Building lifelong relationships within the community is a true privilege, and I strive to make my patients feel like an extension of my own family.
