Hello! My name is Alexa Weber and I was born and raised in Minnesota before moving to Wisconsin for undergraduate and medical school. I chose a career in family medicine for the continuity of care and opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients, their families, and the broader community. I am excited to support my patients through every stage of their life, and to serve as a facilitator in reaching their health goals. I also value the field’s emphasis on social determinants of health, population health, and community engagement.
I have many interests, some of which include addiction medicine, street medicine, gender-affirming care, prenatal care, and reproductive care, and I look forward to providing these essential services to my patients as a family physician. Family medicine’s breadth in caring for patients of all ages, backgrounds, and health needs both challenges and prepares us to provide comprehensive, compassionate care to anyone who seeks it. I am thrilled to continue my training at UNM, an institution whose mission and priorities closely align with my own.
When I am not working you can find me hanging out with my partner and two cats, cooking, or spending time outside hiking or golfing!
