Current Studies
We have funding for two longitudinal (multi-year follow-up), observational (no treatment) projects. Both projects are part of large consortiums in which data and biosamples are shared.

The Biomarkers in Vascular Cognitive Impairment and Dementia (MarkVCID) The Biomarkers in Vascular Cognitive Impairment and Dementia (MarkVCID) study has a focus on how vascular disease, such as high blood pressure or diabetes, can affect memory and thinking. UNM is one of nine universities involved in this nationwide project, which is following more than 2000 participants. markvcid.partners.org
