Why UNM is My Choice for Residency: While interviewing, UNM felt like home. It was more about “feeling right” than any other metric. It is a high-acuity hospital serving patients from across the state, and I believed that this would help me grow into the pediatrician I wanted to become. I still believe that! |

Favorite Things About UNM: The people are my favorite part. My co-residents, attendings, fellows, nurses, and other staff have all been incredibly helpful, and I really appreciate the opportunity to learn from different perspectives and ways of practicing. This also includes the parents of my patients. I am grateful for the opportunity to care for our patients together, all as a team. |

Favorite Things About NM: Albuquerque has been a wonderful surprise for me. The mountain views and beautiful sunsets remind me of my hometown, and the relaxed pace makes it easy to recharge. I have also had the opportunity to try a lot of new hobbies, including cooking workshops, volunteering, and model building/miniature painting. There is a strong sense of community in the city, and it is really easy to find people and activities to connect with if you are interested in something. |
