Why UNM is My Choice for Residency: UNM stood out to me for its commitment to underserved communities, broad clinical exposure as the state’s only dedicated children’s hospital, and opportunities in academic medicine. I was looking for a program where I could be challenged clinically, explore different areas of pediatrics, and train alongside people who genuinely enjoy working together. During my interview, I appreciated how genuine and supportive the residents were, which made it feel like a place I could see myself. |
