Career Goals: Currently interested in exploring General Pediatrics at UNM, particularly in managing high patient volumes and caring for underserved populations. I also have a developing interest in Neonatology and Pediatric Cardiology, and I look forward to exploring these further during residency. |

Why UNM is My Choice for Residency: First, the way this program called me for an interview without me even signaling specific interest was one of the most unexpected things that happened during my interview season. It made me feel that someone really called me for who I am, not just based on usual data. Second, I am really drawn to the diversity in New Mexico, including both the patient population and the residents. This is something that aligns with me as a person who loves meeting different people from different cultures and places. I personally feel that meeting people like that is one of the most precious things in this lifetime. The diversity and the high volume of cases will broaden my skills and give me the ability to handle situations under pressure. I would love to work with underserved populations, as my father himself came from one and worked hard to overcome it. Our family has always believed in giving back to such communities. Lastly, during my interview, I felt like I was having truly meaningful conversations, not just answering questions but sharing my point of view and thoughts, and it felt like I was being heard. All the meet and greets I had with residents, along with the virtual second look, felt very fun and supportive. |

Favorite Things About UNM: 1. Working for Underserved population and creating a change in their life. 2. Handling Organized Chaos with my co-residents. 3. Sign-in and out with mountains views. 4. Working with Dr. Luke. 5. 65 residents in total and the support we have for each other. 6. Residency/GME Team that care for their residents. |

Favorite Things About New Mexico: Activities: Roam around with my friends and restaurant hopping. To do: Night drives with windows down, snow skiing in Santa fe and stargazing. |
