Biography

After graduating from UNM with a B.S. in Nutrition, I spent 5 years in Neuromonitoring as a technician before deciding to go into medicine. I attended and graduated from UNM’s School of Medicine and stayed for Radiology Residency.

Research

During medical school, spent one month in rural Kenya researching effects of education on nutritional diversity and childhood malnutrition. During residency, we studied the effectiveness of CT versus fluoroscopy on identifying esophageal injury. This paper went on to be published in the journal of Abdominal Radiology.

Courses Taught

  • I taught college level organic chemistry I and II as a supplemental instructor.
  • I helped teach first year medical students basic doctoring skills and physical exam maneuvers.
