Biography

I was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM. My Mom is from Panama and my Dad is from the United States so I was fortunate enough to grow up both in the US and Central America. I went to undergrad at Colorado College, where I majored in neuroscience. Afterwards I worked as a neuropsychometrist at the University of Colorado and spent my free time exploring Colorado.

After a few years of working, I decided it was time to start pursuing my dream of becoming a physician. I attended Rocky Vista University COM, during which time I discovered my love for radiology: a perfect blend of medicine and art – both my passions in life. Family is extremely important to me so I completed my transitional year in Las Vegas, NV with my amazing sister (an emergency resident physician). Finally, I came back full circle to the Land of Enchantment for diagnostic radiology at UNMH.

When I’m not in the reading room, I love spending time with my family, my friends, and our six rescue doggies. I love hiking with my parents, drawing with my mom, and going to the gym. I am so excited to be back in New Mexico for this next chapter in life, and even more excited to one day give back to the community I grew up in.
