UNM Hospital named a top hospital for quality standards by the New Mexico Hospital Association

The University of New Mexico Hospital is a top performer! The New Mexico Hospital Association has named UNMH a top hospital for quality standards.

UNMH earned the Hospital Improvement Innovation Network Award, which is one of the association's premier honors for hospital quality. New Mexico's only Level I Trauma Center was honored with the award for overall quality improvement, including reducing hospital readmissions by over 30 percent, reducing central line infections by over 50 percent and reducing overall total patient harm by almost 30 percent.

"We are so appreciative for this award that recognizes the hard work our many teams have put in to provide high quality care to our patients and community," said UNMH CEO Kate Becker.

UNMH was one of five hospitals in the state to receive the award from across the state.
