A Top Workplace

SRMC receives award from the Albuquerque Journal

The University of New Mexico's Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC) in Rio Rancho has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2019 honor by the Albuquerque Journal.

"We are honored to receive this award, and grateful to our wonderful staff and providers for their feedback and confidence in our organization," said Jamie Silva-Steele, SRMC's president and CEO. "I appreciate all that they do every day in caring for our patients, and for putting patients and families first."

The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.

"Top Workplaces is more than just recognition," said Energage CEO Doug Claffey. "Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement."

Since opening in 2012, SRMC has remained committed improving the overall health of the community by providing the highest-quality health care that meets the needs of Sandoval County's diverse population.

It is dedicated to providing health care and medical educational opportunities through partnerships with the UNM School of Medicine, UNM College of Nursing, UNM College of Pharmacy and Central New Mexico Community College.

"Becoming a Top Workplace isn't something organizations can buy," Claffey said. "It's an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It's a big deal."
