New Mexico's mining workers suffering

New Mexico has a long and rich history of mining. Dust-related lung diseases have always been a health problem among miners and the prevalence has increased throughout the years according to the University of New Mexico's Health Sciences Center Akshay Sood, MD. His team and the UNM Occupational Lung Clinic treat patients from all over New Mexico. Some of their patients opened up about their experience in the mines and the long-term effects from mining.
