It's been a hot topic in the news - the price of prescription drugs. It's something that not only impacts patients but our hospitals and clinics. The UNMH and SRMC pharmacy teams are reviewing each and every drug that is commonly used and identifying opportunities to adopt new best-practices whenever and wherever possible to provide quality patient care while stewarding our resources.

In recent months, pharmacy leadership has implemented new clinical standards and practices across the entire continuum of patient care, from our hospital beds to our network of outpatient clinics in UNM Medical Group. It's reviews like these that showcase our MISSION: Excellence at work. Continued leadership at UNMH and SRMC's Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committees help keep costs down for all involved.
