UNM Child Life Enters Into Virtual Reality

Donation allows sick kids to escape to new worlds

The UNM Children's Hospital's Child Life Program is the largest of its kind in New Mexico. It provides age appropriate education and preparation to help families understand, cope and succeed with treatment sessions. One of the most important parts of the program is connecting with kids and helping them get through what can be difficult treatment sessions.

Thanks to Child's Play, a charity organization who recently donated Virtual Reality goggles to Child Life, children now have a new way to explore, play and learn while receiving treatment. Check out a story of just one child already benefiting from this donation!
