About The Event
Justice and Equity in Diabetes Care: An Interprofessional Education (IPE) opportunity.
This inaugural IPE opportunity will provide a safe space to learn and discuss health inequity, justice and your role in providing culturally humble diabetes care.
The standardized volunteers will provide a realistic role-play for current HSC/nutrition students to allow a space to incorporate concepts and best practices in culturally humble diabetes care.
Criteria to Volunteer
HSC alumni or students preferred.
Belonging to an BIPOC/minoritized community would be preferred.
Personal or clinical experience with type 2 diabetes is a benefit.
One-Hour Script Practice Required
Read the script provided and practice on your own time.
