The HSC Office of Research provides information on the latest Compliance News and updates to ensure that UNM researchers are able to meet the laws, rules, and policies governing research in the most efficient and effective way.
We want to remind all UNM faculty, staff and students involved in research of their responsibility to follow all funding agency disclosure requirements. Disclosure requirements are not new, and federal agencies are updating regulations and policies to support protection of critical technologies, controlled information and intellectual property, and to limit undue influence. In many cases, agencies have revised disclosure and reporting requirements for documents that list professional appointments and affiliations (e.g., biosketches and CVs) as well as documents that list current and pending support, including non-monetary support (e.g, in-kind support).

We are asking for your support in documenting the UNM Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC)-related publication productivity so that the CTSC gets its funding every year and is successfully refunded in four years. CTSC services and pilot awards are considered NIH support. As such, any publications that result from that support must comply with NIH’s 2009 public access compliance policy https://publicaccess.nih.gov/policy.htm. Compliance with this policy also ensures that your publication is highly visible and accessible to a worldwide audience.
