Forensic Radiology Laboratory

In 2010, the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator moved to a new 60,000 square foot facility, including a fully Biosafety Level-3 autopsy laboratory, designed to be the most technologically advanced in the country. Located in the autopsy suite, the radiologic imaging suite constitutes the Center’s research laboratory. Our state-of-the-art facility houses both CT and MRI scanners. These machines acquire the imaging data used for both forensic autopsies and research.
