Bring pots, pans, and utensils. You will have access to a kitchen, but not kitchenware.
Professional clothing (for the day-to-day training).
Bring closed-toe shoes, long pants/skirts, and long-sleeved shirts for lab work rotations. You’ll be provided with a lab coat.
Consider bringing a bicycle to get around campus.
Trainees can bring their own car but be aware there is no free parking on campus. Trainees who choose to bring a vehicle must pay for parking themselves.
Laptop (if you don’t have one you may be able to rent one for free from the HSC Library for the duration of the training program)
CT-REx program trainees must complete the following to begin the program on time:
Apply to UNM as a non-degree seeking undergraduate student for the summer. The application does not require official transcripts. Once you complete this task, you will become a UNM student with a UNM student ID number that will enable us to enroll you in the mandatory 1-unit seminar course and pay your stipend.
Complete online training that is required by UNM and by the program. The program will notify you of the online courses that will be required and send you the information on how to access the courses. You will not be able to access the training until you complete the UNM application and receive a UNM student ID number.
