Biography
Dr. Hossam Alslaim has acquired a remarkable experience in the full spectrum of open and endovascular aortic intervention during his training. His clinical practice encompasses advanced treatments for complex aortic pathologies, including aneurysms, dissections, and occlusive disease, as well as a focused interest in the surgical and non-surgical management of thoracic outlet syndrome.
Dr. Alslaim strives to provide comprehensive, patient-centered approach to vascular care, seamlessly integrating cutting-edge endovascular techniques with traditional open surgical methods to tailor treatments to each patient's unique anatomy and condition. He is committed to excellence and innovation.
Throughout his training, Dr. Alslaim distinguished himself not only as a skilled clinician but also as a dedicated educator. He received multiple teaching awards during both residency and fellowship, reflecting his passion for mentoring medical students and residents. His ability to translate complex surgical concepts into accessible learning experiences is in line with the mission of the UNM health system.
