Biography

Dr. Andre received a B.A. degree in Biology (2007) from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree (2013) from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following his MD degree he completed a 3 year internal medicine residency at the University of New Mexico. He worked for one year at the New Mexico VA Healthcare system as a chief resident. He then completed his 3 year fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of New Mexico.

Personal Statement

Dr. Andre has an interest in caring for the cardiovascular complications of patients undergoing chemotherapy, particularly underrepresented New Mexican populations and indigenous people. He enjoys caring for the people of New Mexico in all parts of the healthcare system. Working at UNM provides him with an opportunity to participate in the education of doctors in training.
