Biography
Edward Auyang, MD, MS, FACS is a Professor of Surgery, Chief of the Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery, and the Vice Chair of Education of the Department of Surgery. He completed his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and his M.S. in Environmental and Occupational Health, Biomechanics and Ergonomics, from the University of Cincinnati. He received his M.D. from The Ohio State University. He completed residency in General Surgery at Northwestern University and his fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Foregut Surgery at the University of Washington.
Dr. Auyang is a national leader in the field of gastroesophageal disease, benign disorders of the gallbladder, surgical innovation, and surgical education
