Biography
Dr. Baca is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. She has a secondary appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine Division. She received her MD from UNM in 2012, completed a residency in Family Medicine at UNM in 2015 and then went on to complete an Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at UNM in 2016.
Dr. Baca?s currently sees patients at the Atrisco Heritage Center for Family & Community Health. She also cares for detained youth and at the Bernalillo County Youth Services Center. She directs the Adolescent Medicine rotation for the third year residents and attends on the Inpatient Family Medicine Service. She is part of a multidisciplinary research group conducting a five-year research study titled ?Prevention of Teen Pregnancy through Screening and Brief Intervention in Primary Care.
