Biography
Dr. Banks received a B.S. degree in Biology in 1986 from New Mexico State University, a Doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1990 from Colorado State University, and a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of New Mexico in 2004.
Areas of Specialty
Dr. Banks professional areas of interest are injury prevention, public health, and disaster preparedness. She has directed federal and state-funded projects that address a wide range of prevention and preparedness issues, including pedestrian safety, domestic violence, dog bite prevention, agricultural safety, and healthcare system disaster response.
