Biography
Bentley received a B.A. degree in Psychology with Honors (2018) from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She earned a Certificate in Nursing (2023) and a Master of Science in Nursing with a Nurse?Midwifery specialty (2025) from Yale University School of Nursing. Following completion of her MSN, she completed extensive ambulatory and intrapartum midwifery clinical training at academic medical centers, federally qualified health centers, and a freestanding birth center.
Personal Statement
I am a Certified Nurse Midwife and MSN-Nurse Midwifery graduate of Yale University School of Nursing, with a strong commitment to community-centered, evidence-based, and holistic care. My training includes full-scope midwifery care—prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic—across diverse and high-acuity settings. I have experience managing low- to moderate-risk pregnancies, co-managing high-risk care, VBAC and waterbirth, inductions, limited third-trimester ultrasound, laceration repair, LARC placement, newborn assessment, and postpartum and triage care.
I am dedicated to trauma-informed, equity-focused midwifery that honors each person’s lived experience and reproductive goals. I value collaborative, patient-led care and have supported physiologic birth as an RN-Birth Assistant in a midwifery-led birth center. I work regularly with Spanish-speaking families, am conversationally proficient in Spanish, and continue advanced medical Spanish training. My background in reproductive justice advocacy, including coordinating doula access for incarcerated individuals, informs my commitment to inclusive, accessible midwifery care for all communities.
