Biography
Borders received a B.A. degree in Anthropology and Religion (1990) from the College of William and Mary. She earned her A.D. in Nursing (1997) from Parkland College, followed by an M.S.N. degree with a concentration in Nurse-Midwifery (2005) from the University of New Mexico. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) degree (2020) at Frontier Nursing University. Following her midwifery training, she began practicing as a Certified Nurse Midwife in 2005 at the University of New Mexico Hospital, where she has served in various clinical, teaching, and leadership roles.
