Biography

Jessica Cassyle Carr is adjunct faculty at the UNM College of Population Health, where she has taught graduate writing and other courses, and co-coordinates the MPH Culminating Experience. She began her career in journalism, first as a public radio reporter (KUNM-FM), then as an editor in the alternative press (Weekly Alibi). Today her work is focused on interdisciplinary, intersectoral collaboration and participatory approaches to promote healthy communities. Carr is also a consultant at UNM’s Design and Planning Assistance Center, a contractor at the New Mexico Department of Health, and a first-year Doctor of Public Health student at the University of California, Berkeley.
