Biography
Dr. Chang received her S.B. in Material Science Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge MA and her medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She completed her internal medicine residency at Evanston Hospital in Chicago, Il and her fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. While at Johns Hopkins she completed a PhD at the Bloomberg School of Public Health in Clinical Study Design looking at the natural history of scleroderma lung disease.
Personal Statement
Dr. Chang has been at the University of New Mexico since finishing training because of the amazing diversity of patients and the incredible need for her chosen specialty of connective tissue lung disease, which is also known as pulmonary complications of rheumatologic disease. She enjoys working along side rheumatology and our other sub specialists to care for these complicated patients.
