Biography
Dr. Clawson is an assistant professor in the UNM Psychiatry Department with a secondary appointment in the Department of Pediatrics. She is a pediatrician with fellowship training in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Integrative Medicine. As an Osteopathic physician, she is trained to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal dysfunctions. This treatment is focused, not only on the biomechanics of the joint(s), but also the related muscles, joints and fascia. Osteopathic treatment also addresses the vascular, lymphatic and neural elements of each of those structures. Conditions commonly treated with manual medicine include mechanical back and neck pain, headaches, abdominal pain, scoliosis, post-operative pain and non-surgical sports injuries.
