Biography
I received a B.A. degree in Biology, minor is Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. In 2008, I received my MD degree from Dartmouth School of Medicine, now the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. After completion of my pediatric residency here at the University of New Mexico, I completed a year as chief resident, and then accepted a faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics. After spending many years in both the General Pediatrics and Critical Care Divisions, I am now an Associate Professor in General Pediatrics, as well as the Pediatric Residency Program Director.
Personal Statement
My passion in medicine is education. I often reflect back on my decision to pursue medicine, and remember that I knew I wanted to be a teacher before I knew I wanted to be in medicine! I am an educator here to serve my patients, as well as the students and residents that I work with. I am also continuously learning. My place in medical education is what drives me and keeps me in academic medicine.
