Biography

Angela Deubel received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art in 1998 from Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA. She earned her Master of Science Physician Assistant Studies degree in 2010 from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, CA. Following her MSPAS degree, she worked for a urogynecology practice in Spokane WA for 1.5 years, then moved to South Dakota where she worked for pediatric gastroenterology at Avera Health for 4 years. She moved to Albuquerque in 2016 where she joined the UNMH pediatric gastroenterology team. She continues to work for "Peds GI" and has been teaching full-time at the UNM Physician Assistant program since 2018.

Personal Statement

I have been in practice 15 years, with the bulk of my career spent in pediatric gastroenterology. I find peds GI very satisfying from every perspective; I enjoy working with families and the unique challenges presented in pediatric health care. For the last 7 years I have been an instructor for the UNM PA Program, teaching pediatrics courses, clinical seminar, gastroenterology, and dermatology, as well as assisting with other courses as needed.
