Personal Statement

My teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in instilling a genuine love for nursing, emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning, and creating an intellectually and emotionally safe learning environment for students. My pedagogical approach, grounded in adult-learning theory, encompasses an array of strategies such as gamification, narrative teaching, and experiential learning. Knowing that there are many ways of learning, I try to offer strategies and resources that are as highly varied as the types of learners we have in the classroom.
