Biography
Rebecca Fabian MSN, RN is a Lecturer I at UNM College of Nursing. She received her Master's degree in Nursing Administration and her Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico. Prior to academia, her bedside experience includes management of pediatric patients with acute and chronic conditions while specializing in pediatric hematology/oncology, diabetes, solid organ transplant care, and end of life care. During this time, she spearheaded the development and implementation of pediatric oncology interdisciplinary communication huddle, in conjunction with nursing informatics established automated sedation procedure auditing, involved in development of pediatric specific curriculum for the nurse residency program, investigated pediatric CLABSIs and with partners implemented evidence-based nurse practice change. In addition to her interests in quality improvement, nursing practice policy and healthcare simulation, she has passion for nurse education both at the bedside and in the classroom.
