Personal Statement
After a decade of working in the fields of research and global health focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights, I returned home to New Mexico to become a midwife. My dedication to reproductive justice drives my midwifery practice. For me, being a midwife in a large hospital system means ensuring bodily autonomy and trauma-informed care while honoring the knowledge and strengths each person brings on their unique health journey. I am committed to creating an inclusive and safe environment that is welcoming to people of diverse backgrounds and those historically marginalized by healthcare systems.
