Biography

Fischer received his MD, PhD degree from the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of New Mexico, followed by a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He has been a surgical pathologist on faculty at UNM since 2003, with a brief 2.5 year detour in a small rural practice.

Personal Statement

My areas of special interest are genitourinary, gynecologic, and medical renal pathology, which are also my research interests.
