Biography
Corey C. Ford, MD, PhD is Professor of Neurology, vice-chair for Research and Sr. Associate Dean for Research in the SOM. He attended medical school at the University of Virginia and neurology residency and fellowship in multiple sclerosis at the University of Rochester. His area of clinical specialty is multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology and he has participated in over 150 clinical trials of new treatments for MS. He is part of the Executive Committee of the UNM Clinical and Translational Science Center and oversees the Regulatory Knowledge and Support component and the Pilot funding program. His role in the Office for Research includes chairing the Human Tissue Oversight Committee and he represents the SOM in the New Mexico Consortium with colleagues from New Mexico State, New Mexico Tech, the UNM Main campus, and partners from Los Alamos National Laboratories.
