Personal Statement
Although having done all my training through Indiana and growing up in a northern suburb of Indy, I was born in Valhalla, NY and thus am a New Yorker at heart. I met my husband in Bloomington and we are both huge Indiana Basketball fans (always hoping for #6!). We had our son during my residency; he is the light of our lives. Becoming a mother during residency has shaped me in a way that nothing else could. I am passionate about pediatric pain management and supporting women in academics. I came to UNM because of the opportunity to help shape the pediatric pain division and also because we were ready to trade the Indianapolis winters for the Albuquerque sunshine. I enjoy yoga, cycling, pilates, interior design, Taylor Swift, and all things rock n roll!
