Biography
Dr. Galicia received a B.A. degree in French with a minor in Chemistry in 2009 from the University of New Mexico. He graduated with departmental honors, cum laude. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2020 from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Following his MD degree, he completed a 3-year residency in Family & Community Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in 2023 with an area of concentration in vasectomy and infertility. He also received extensive additional training in outpatient procedures.
Areas of Specialty
Dr. Galicia specializes in Family Medicine with focused expertise in vasectomy and infertility, and outpatient procedural care. He has additional training specifically in dermatologic procedures. His academic work emphasizes curriculum development, mentorship (at the high school, college, medical school, and resident levels), and advancing equity in medical education, particularly through pathway programs and service learning in marginalized communities.
