Biography
Renai Gallagher graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy in 1997. She received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2003 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University in 2019. She is a licensed massage therapist and a birth doula.
Personal Statement
Over the course of her career she has worked primarily in outpatient settings and has extensive experience and interest in gender health issues. Dr. Gallagher has presented numerous lectures on pelvic floor dysfunction to healthcare providers and community members alike. She authored a chapter in Women?s Health in Physical Therapy: Principles & Practice for Rehabilitation Professionals entitled: ?Perinatal Options: Informed Choices to Promote Normal Birth?. She has been teaching Gender Health for the UNM Physical Therapy Program since 2013.
