Biography
Dr. Madeleine Goodkind, PhD, ABPP-BC completed her BA in psychology from Wesleyan University, her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of California-Berkeley, her internship at the VA Northern California, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Palo Alto VA/Stanford University. She is board certified in behavioral and cognitive psychology. Dr. Goodkind is the Director of Psychology training at the New Mexico VA for the psychology internship program and for the postdoctoral fellowship programs in clinical psychology and clinical health psychology. She previously served on the VA Psychology Training Council Executive Committee and currently serves as an APPIC ?board member.
Personal Statement
Dr. Goodkind's clinical work focuses on interventions for PTSD, primarily Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure. She serves as a trainer and consultant for CPT both within and outside the VA. As an assistant professor in the UNM Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, she teaches courses to psychiatry residents on cognitive behavioral therapy.
