Personal Statement

I have an interest in the ecology and epidemiology of pathogens and how that manifests in people. Most of my professional life has revolved around mitigating the effects of HIV in individuals and communities. I am also interested in tropical/global infectious diseases, and have benefitted from working in a number of African, South American, and Asian countries to better understand the complex dynamics at work in those regions.
