Biography
Jon Hallstrom, MD, is a practicing radiologist who specializes in neuroradiology. Dr. Hallstrom received a B.A. from Whitman College and M.D. from Oregon Health & Science University. He completed radiology residency at the University of New Mexico, and was selected Resident of the Year in 2012 and served as Chief Resident 2012-2013. After completing neuroradiology fellowship at UC San Diego 2013-2014, Dr. Hallstrom returned to the University of New Mexico as faculty, and was selected as Teacher of the Year in 2015. He is currently an Associate Professor and serves as the Neuroradiology Fellowship Director, Chief of Neuroradiology, and Associate MRI Safety Medical Director.
Personal Statement
Dr. Hallstrom has a broad range of experience in neuroradiology and emergency radiology, including trauma and stroke imaging, epilepsy imaging, brain tumor imaging, and imaging of congenital pediatric anomalies. He strives to mentor and sponsor medical students, residents, fellows and new faculty, and enjoys collaborating with his colleagues to foster excellence in clinical care, education, and scholastic endeavors.
