Biography
Dr. Harmoney received a dual BA/BS degree in psychology and biochemistry from The Evergreen State College in 2006. She worked as a clinical mental health counselor with at risk youth in Tacoma, Washington until 2008, when she and her husband relocated to Maine for her to attend The University of New England for medical school. She completed her pediatrics residency at University of New Mexico in 2015. She then completed a pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship at The University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in 2018. Subsequently, she completed a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at The University of Rochester in Rochcester, NY.
Personal Statement
I chose pediatric hematology-oncology because I liked the combination of science, clinical trials and patient care. I am pretty early in my career, but have a special interest in palliative medicine, vascular malformations, Ewing's sarcoma, and benign hematology.
