Biography

Dr. Hines received a Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2005. Following his graduate work, he trained at Biosciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, in Berkeley CA. He joined UNM Faculty in Summer 2016.

Personal Statement

The Hines laboratory is dedicated to defining the cellular and biochemical microenvironment of tissues and tumors; determining how cells coordinate and communicate to maintain tissue homeostasis; and deciphering how the normal and tumor microenvironments alter cell phenotype that lead to tumor progression
