Biography

Early in his career, Dr. Ho was involved in basic science research, trying to understand the various mechanisms of tumorigenesis. As his career evolved, he became more involved with clinic research, with the goal of translational medicine. He became more interested in drug development, with the aim of bringing more effective drugs and drug combinations for patients. He has collaborated successfully with various pharmaceutical companies and obtained funding for his early projects, using new drug combinations for lung cancer. Additionally, he has belonged to various large clinical research cooperative groups such as CALGB and SWOG, and served as his institution?s principal investigators for various clinical trials for lung cancer treatment.

Personal Statement

My main area of clinical expertise has been with the treatment of solid tumors. I have a special interest in thoracic and gastrointestinal malignancies. My research projects have been mainly in collaborations with pharmaceutical companies to assess new chemotherapy agents and more effective drug regimen combinations.
