Biography
Peter Jeppson received a B.S. degree in Chemistry (2001) and a Doctor of Medicine (2006) from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Following his MD degree he completed a 4-year Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at Case-Western MetroHealth and Cleveland Clinic (2010), followed by a 3 year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University (2013). Since completing this training he has worked at the University of New Mexico.
Personal Statement
Dr. Peter Jeppson is a board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico, and Director of the Division of Urogynecology. He has many publications on female pelvic floor disorders including several systematic reviews. He has also been very involved with several Medical Societies including AAGL, ACOG, AUGS, and SGS. Dr. Jeppson has also developed particular expertise in the treatment of pelvic fistula, he travels to Rwanda annually with the IOWD to help repair pelvic fistula in this region every February. He is married with two sons, in his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family at his sons sports, school, and church activities.
