Biography
Dr. Vivek Katukuri is an Assistant Professor in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of New Mexico, where he also serves as the Program Director for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship. He is board certified in both Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a fellowship completed at the University of New Mexico and a residency at Henry Ford Hospital.
Dr. Katukuri's clinical and research interests focus on telemedicine, preterm birth, biomarkers in preeclampsia, and fetal growth standards. He has contributed to numerous publications and clinical trials and is currently leading a significant PCORI-funded study on gestational diabetes. He holds several leadership roles within the University of New Mexico, including Medical Director of the Multidisciplinary Clinic in Gallup, NM, and Director of the Department's Morbidity and Mortality Review.
He is recognized for his teaching excellence, having received multiple Best Teacher Awards at the University of New Mexico and national honors, including the APGO/CREOG Overall Best Teacher Award. Dr. Katukuri's commitment to advancing maternal and fetal health is evident in his extensive research, clinical leadership, and participation in various professional committees and conferences.
