Biography

After receiving a B.S. in Biology and Philosophy from Brandeis University, Jamie Krashin worked as a secondary school math and science teacher in Chilanga, Malawi for two years through the Peace Corps. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Chicago. Following completion of Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at Oregon Health & Science University, she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research during her clinical fellowship in Complex Family Planning at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She worked at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention on their contraceptive guidelines for two years before joining the faculty at University of New Mexico.
