Biography
Dr. Livingston received her B.A. in Biology from Swarthmore College, received her MD from Harvard Medical School, and completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. She is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics.
Personal Statement
Dr. Livingston spent the first seven years of her career practicing general pediatrics with medically underserved populations, and since 2005 has been practicing child abuse pediatrics, first at the University of Connecticut and now at the University of New Mexico.
Areas of Specialty
Dr. Livingston is an expert in the evaluation of suspected child abuse and neglect, the impact of domestic violence on children, and how pediatricians can best support families experiencing domestic violence.

Didactic Teaching Award for excellence in delivery of formal lectures 2010, 2014, 2017, University of Connecticut School of Medicine Pediatric Residency Program.

McNeill Teaching Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching 2006, 2010, University of Connecticut School of Medicine Pediatric Residency Program.

Research and Scholarship
Dr. Livingston's scholarly work has included work on identification of cutaneous manifestations of abuse and mimics of abuse, the accuracy of diagnostic codes for maltreatment surveillance, and the impact of domestic violence on children. A notable publication is:
