Biography
Marshik received her B.S. degree and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota. Following her Pharm. D. degree she completed a 1year clinical research fellowship at Allergy & Asthma Specialists, P.A. and the University of Minnesota. She followed this with a 2 year fellowship in pediatric pulmonary at the University of Florida.
Personal Statement
My background is in pharmacy with specific training and expertise in pediatric pulmonary. My interest in this area evolved from a desire to help people with pulmonary disease. I have received training not only in the clinical care of patients with pulmonary disease but also in conducting clinical research in this population. I have a broad background which includes education, clinical practice, and research. I have been actively involved in training and teaching of pharmacy learners for over 20 years. I have also contributed to training medical students and residents, nursing students, respiratory therapy students, social work students, nutrition students, and physician assistant students. Additionally, I have been a member of graduate student dissertation committees. I have also trained a variety of health care professionals at a national, regional, state and local levels by presenting continuing education programs and trainings and developing training programs.

Research and Scholarship
Marshik?s research has been in the area of pulmonary disease, with a focus on asthma and COPD. Her current interests include: medication delivery systems, treatment of pulmonary diseases and economic evaluations of pulmonary medications.
