Personal Statement
I practice Family Medicine because I believe in public health, prevention of disease, and feel strongly that all people should have access to excellent healthcare. I am dedicated to this social justice mission of Family Medicine and to training future physicians to be excellent clinicians, passionate advocates, and thoughtful leaders. This framework grounds my practice.
Currently, my outpatient clinical practice is at the Southeast Heights Clinic, which serves a very diverse patient population. I provide primary care across the lifespan, caring for families, providing prenatal care, and managing chronic disease. I have a clinical interest in addiction medicine and prescribe medication for treatment of opiate use disorder.
In terms of education, I also serve as the Education Director for the Southeast Heights clinic, precept family medicine residents at the Southeast Heights Clinic, and work with third year medical students on their Family Medicine Clerkship.
